Technical Specs.

Unfiltered engineering data. Everything you need to evaluate architecture compatibility and performance limits.

1. Kernel & Execution

Base Operating System Debian 12 (Bookworm) minimal base, headless
Real-Time Patch PREEMPT_RT (Linux 6.1.x-rt)
CPU Isolation Method isolcpus + taskset
Typical Jitter < 15µs (measured under 100% network load)
Update Rate (Cycle Time) Configurable: 125µs, 250µs, 500µs, 1ms, 2ms, 4ms
Process Separation Motion/EtherCAT (Core 0/1) fully isolated from UI/Network (Core 2/3)
Inter-Process Comm. Lock-free Shared Memory (SHM) ring buffers

2. Motion Control

Supported Fieldbus EtherCAT (Native Master implementation, no external card needed)
Maximum Axes 64 Synchronized / Interpolated axes per instance
Interpolation Types Linear, Circular, Helical, Spline (NURBS, Akima), Polynomial
Trajectory Generation S-Curve, Jerk-limited, Advanced Look-ahead
Kinematic Transformations 5-Axis RTCP, SCARA, Delta, Stewart Platform, Custom via C++ API
Closed-Loop Control Position, Velocity, and Torque modes (CiA 402 drive profile)

3. CNC Capabilities

G-Code Standard RS274NGC / ISO 6983
Look-Ahead Buffer Default: 10,000 blocks (Configurable up to RAM limits)
File Execution Limits None. Supports continuous streaming of multi-gigabyte files from network shares (ideal for complex 3D surfacing).
Tool Management 9,999 tools, multiple cutting edges, wear offsets, geometry offsets
Macro Programming Parametric variables (#1-#33, #100-#199, #500+), flow control (IF/GOTO/WHILE), mathematical functions
Canned Cycles Standard drilling, tapping, boring (G81-G89). Custom cycles definable via macros.

4. PLC Environment

Standard Compliance IEC 61131-3
Supported Languages Structured Text (ST), Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC)
Execution Compiled to native machine code (not interpreted) for microsecond execution speeds.
Memory Limits Determined by hardware RAM (effectively unlimited for logic applications)
CNC Integration Direct shared-memory access to CNC state (M-codes, spindle speed, axis positions) without network latency.

5. Network & Protocols

All OT/IT connectivity features are included natively. No external gateway hardware or software option licenses are required.

OPC-UA Native Server (Port 4840). Includes default CNC information model (Companion Spec) and custom node mapping via web interface.
MQTT Native Publisher/Subscriber. Sparkplug B compliant. Configurable payload structuring (JSON).
REST API Full JSON REST API for remote program loading, state polling, and tool data management.
MTConnect Native Agent running on device. Supports XML streaming of execution state.
Remote Access Built-in Wireguard VPN client for secure, encrypted remote diagnostics without exposing ports.
HMI Protocol WebSockets (wss://). The HMI is entirely HTML5/JS/CSS, served locally by the controller and accessible via any modern browser.

6. Hardware Requirements

Minimum Specs

Suitable for 3-axis mills, simple lathes, and basic automation logic.

  • CPU x86_64 Dual-Core (e.g. Celeron)
  • RAM 4 GB DDR4
  • Storage 32 GB SSD / eMMC
  • Network 2x Gigabit Ethernet (Intel i210 preferred)

Recommended Specs

Required for high-speed 5-axis surfacing, high data-rate telemetry, or heavy local HMI usage.

  • CPU x86_64 Quad-Core (e.g. Core i5 / Atom x6000E)
  • RAM 8 GB DDR4 or higher
  • Storage 128 GB NVMe SSD
  • Network 2x Gigabit Ethernet (Intel i210 strictly recommended for EtherCAT)
